Hi mates. Yeah... I've been a very inconsistent blogger. Hey, I know that kay. Just that... I haven't really found inspirations to blog for the past few days. And... yeah... my blog seems pretty dead too. Well... so I'm just posting in hope of the revival of my blog. Ya. Cheers.
Well anyway... I thought as we are well into our holidays, we should be having deserved breaks besides our CCA commitments, and what not. So... I decided to blog about... yeah. Games! A pretty touchy subject, thanks to the various genres and platforms the companies out there target their products at. Well, these posts (I'm hoping for a consistent effectual of posts on games, like these one. And let's just clasp our hands together and wish that my blog would not die down, yet again and hopefully, posts like this will garner a whole lot of comments and tags!! =p) will not be as professional as those we get in Digital Life or on gamespot.com (a fabulous website). But... well, u get the picture.
O btw, I believe minimal reference would be made to gamespot.com. But I would like to include ratings and bits and pieces of reviews from the site. I hope that's okay. Hahe... enjoy guys =p

Today's pick: Burnout Legends
Platform: PSP
Genre: Racing
Rating (from gamespot.com): 9.0/10 ~ Editor's Choice
Personal Rating: 9.0/10
Yup, here it is. Believe it or not, this game was on the markets in 2005. And I'm still stuck to it, though yeah... I bought it only this year anyway... So here goes...
Burnout Legends is a fast-paced, competitive, no-jokes, intimidating, nail-biting and lastly, rather addictive kind of racing game. Though the PSP boasts a large collection of racing titles, this game, as an addition, did not fail to win over the hearts of many... The Burnout franchise by EA games has already debutted over the other consoles, like the PS and Xbox, but they did not pose as large an impact till this title...
What makes Burnout different from the rest of the racing titles is... mainly it's gameplay. Legends provides a great sense of speed (seriously!) and gameplay is competitive and that makes tension high throughout the course of the World Tour. Players drive their rides through three distinct areas of the globe and have a go at over 175 tracks and stages... Legends clings onto the player's heart throughout the whole race and never fails to hold it down (so that it skips a beat) at points in the race. Animation is great and the sound mastering is of commendable effort. Though a few animation glitches here and there (like disappearing speedboats and trembling concrete), the other parts of the game do well to cover the whatnots up.
I enjoy ramming my rides into trailers and buses as well in the Crash category, where players try as hard as possible to create total havok and chaos from road crashes... As the saying goes, "the more, the merrier"!! Well... if ramming your muscle and coupe deluxes aren't enough for you to feel the vibe, try the crash courses with the heavyweight vehicles! They don't unlock easily. But a few tries in the Crash category later, you will get the feel! O... try the buses! haha...
Well... I'm currently stucked at the end of the Sports section in the World Tour... *sigh*... I have three Road Rage courses to complete... all in which I only managed a Silver... Well... I need (and desire) GOLDS to unlock that Legend G.P. (Grand Prix) and only then will I be satisfied enough to move into the Super section... I was short of 1 takedown for 2 of the courses... well... let's just try harder!!!
Well... what just drives (literally...) players like me on... is the undying and raging desire to unlock the whatnots across the game itself. From takedown trophys to postcards and of course, some legendary and deluxe rides in the game... like the Fire truck (which requires 100 Gold Crash medals... to be unlocked) and the Gangster Boss (unlocked after a Gold in every race event)... as described in gamespot.com, Legends, when played in short bursts, is HIGHLY ADDICTIVE!! Haha... well... let's get down to the track ppl!
